Get Carded is a unique invitation design company, owned and operated by husband and wife design duo, Erika and Ron Whistler. Their passion for design and each other flourished while studying Graphic Design in Northern California. Shortly after graduating college and moving to sunny San Diego, they began their professional graphic design careers. The idea of designing invitations came about when they decided to get married.

The happy couple got engaged and set the date to wed in October of 2005. When planning their wedding, the most enticing endeavor emerged, designing of their own wedding invitation! It was an opportunity to use their creative skills to express their love to the world, or at least to their closest friends and family. Having created the occasional invitation for bridal showers, baby showers, and parties, Erika was quite familiar with the thought process and the commitment put forth to capture the essence of a well planned event. Aside from booking their wedding location, Erika and Ron started designing the save the date announcement and wedding invitation right away. It was a Fall-themed, handcrafted invitation complete with quality paper and adorned with custom stamps using metallic inks. The look and feel set the tone for the rest of the wedding.

Soon after the wedding invitations went out, the accolades and rave reviews from family members and friends came flooding in. This was truly the start of their passion for invitation design. They loved the idea of branding their love story and thought it would be exciting to design invitations that fully express the unique bond between two people, a one of a kind masterpiece exclusive to only the couple.
